Money raised from the 2008 South Coast AFL Buccaneers 6th successful Easter Carnival held at the Pambula Sporting Complex will be donated to the Bethal Children's Orphanage for Homeless Children in Bali.

The South Coast Buccaneers play in numerous Masters Carnivals through the year with the Pambula Easter Carnival highlighting the major fundraiser for the year.

From donations and fundraising functions the 'BUCKS' will donate $1.000.oo to this charity when they travel to Bali in early June 2008. too participate in the 4th. International Bali AFL 2008 Masters 9's. Carnival.

This years Carnival has attracted a record number of 10 teams who will be competing, 5 from Australia and a team from Dubai, Bali, Jakarta, Singapore and Borneo.

The Buccaneers have competed in every Bali Masters Carnival held and will be represented this year with a full squad of players from Batemans Bay in the north to Mallacotta in the south. Our local representatives Michael Revington, Scott McDonald, Saul Culican, Peter Lenahan and Ricky Holt are aiming for an improvement on last years result where they played off against the Singapore Wombats for 3rd or 4th placing, the 'Bucks' won by 2 points to be placed 3rd.

Some local businesses have already donated to this worthy fundraiser and other businesses are encouraged to come on board. With every $100.oo donated it will feed, cloth and educate a child at the Orphanage for 1 year.

What a great result for the South Coast. Your money is going direct to a child in need.

Please make your donation to Ricky Holt on 0415 423 293

After the Carnival our team will spend a day at the Orphanage to become acquainted with the Orphanage procedures' and meet with the children.

They will then take on a 3 day climb to the top of Mt. Rinjani where they will take a plunge into the volcano crater's lake which according to the local beliefs reduces your age by a full year. This should prove beneficial in guaranteeing their yearly pilgrimage to play Masters Carnivals for years to come.

Last Sunday a group of Buccaneers climbed Mt. Imlay to become familiar with the height and to also get some early training for Bali.
